You are cordially invited to join us at the Ninth Annual IFIP/IEEE International Workshop on Distributed Systems: Operations & Management to be held at the University of Delaware, Newark, DE, USA on Oct. 26-28, 1998.
This is the ninth in a series of workshops sponsored by the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) Working Group 6.6 on Network Management for Communication Networks with technical co-sponsorship by the IEEE Communications Society Technical Committee on Network Operations and Management (CNOM). This series attempts to bring together people actively working in the Distributed Systems Management area in both industry and academia in order to discuss recent advancements and to foster further growth in the field. This ninth international workshop at Newark, Delaware (USA) follows eight highly successful annual workshops held in Berlin (Germany), Santa Barbara (USA), Munich (Germany), Long Branch (USA), Toulouse (France), Ottawa (Canada), L'Aquila (Italy), and Sydney (Australia) in previous years.
The workshop will have 24 technical presentations chosen via a thorough refereeing process from among the submitted contributions. The program has 8 technical paper sessions and a Panel session organized in a single track and allows plenty of time for intensive in-depth discussions and interaction between the workshop participants. The theme topic of the workshop is "Management of Mobility" with three paper sessions exploring various aspects of this theme and the concluding Panel session with invited experts to discuss issues and problems in the Management of Mobility. A proceedings of the technical papers will be available.
Please note that the early registration deadline has now been extended to October 1, 1998. Total workshop attendance is limited to 100 participants, so you are encouraged to send in your registration early.
